006; don't mess with the kitty - [public video]

[Willow's lips pull back into a vampiric snarl, face momentarily filling the screen before she pulls the camera back, and reveals her position - straddling Medusa, following their fight. For those who can tell such things, Medusa's shoulders are dislocated - her legs possibly damaged as well; and most importantly of all, unconscious, not dead.

She barely seems to notice Madame Smudge, now sniffing at Medusa's head; though she's uncertain how the kitten had escaped her room. She's more fixated on keeping on the snarl, glaring into the camera.]

Nobody threatens my cat.

[Barbara's eyebrows arch, but her smile deepens slightly.] Hello there.

It's a pleasure, Madame. [She might have a soft spot for tiny vulnerable animals, okay.] I'm Barbara.

...Vampire.

[She repeats it flatly, though not quite doubtfully.]

Well, not the strangest thing that's happened this week.

Do most vampires save kittens?

So you're a reformed vampire.

Ah.

I was never very fond of magic.

[...Doesn't mean she's not curious about it.] What did they do?

...Your soul.

[Now she does, indeed, sound sceptical. She can't help it; she's not precisely the spiritual sort.

Well, she
could help it, if she really wanted, but she doesn't feel like it.]

I assume vampires don't usually have those, then.

[What does that even mean?]

Dracula.

[She's just. Going to pinch the bridge of her nose.]

Does he save kittens, too?

[Her hand falls and she just stares.

Then she's shaking her head, muttering.]

Clearly, someone needs to have a sit down with Bram Stoker.

[Well. In grudging admittance...] That's one hell of a mark for this boat's record.

How long have you been here?

Is the soul a recent addition? [...That sounded so absurd.]

[Her eyes narrow at that, more thoughtful than anything.]

So would some humans. I'm pretty sure their souls are intact.
