[Willow holds a cobweb in her hand, staring at the gossamer strands as if over a great distance. Besides her, Madame Smudge sits on the floor. Immaculate as always, if somewhat haggard from her mistress's lack of recent attention.

Used to like Halloween. Me and Xander would dress up and get candy. Was cute.

[She scrunches her hand into a fist, before wiping the sticky webs off on her clothes. Her eyes come back to the present.] Stupid holiday.

The real monsters don't come out on Halloween.

We've had monsters literally invade at least twice on Halloweens past. [Granted, he missed the first monster mash, but he heard all about it.]
