14 - accidental video; give up.

[No one should be surprised to see Willow sulking in her room - though perhaps the flash of pink kitty nose might take some aback. It presses against the screen, as Madame Smudge noses the comm. Her paw bats out against it, angling the camera towards her mistress's face.

Willow hasn't seen it yet. She would have wiped the tears away, otherwise. Maybe pasted on a smirk. Instead she's curled up in a ball, head pressing between her thighs. She shudders every few moments, for several minutes, before finally catching sight of the communicator.

Her face transforms instantly. She lunges at it in anger, her cat dodging out of her way. She tosses the communicator away from her. Though it doesn't go black, all that will be visible is her ceiling.]

[ Doyle had been reading when he had seen the accidental video go across, seeing Willow in such a state made him frown a bit. He never did get to take her out and force her to trick or treat around the barge thanks to a certain flood that hit. Seeing her that sad he couldn't stand for it. The book was tossed down as he grabbed up his jacket and made his way out of the room.

About 15 minutes after the communicator was tossed. A knock came upon her door, standing outside of it having just hurried from his room to the greenhouse and back down to her room he was standing at the door with a pretty set of flowers for a sad girl. He was sure someone would yell at him for stealing the flowers later but for now he figured it was a good way to cheer her up if nothing else.]

[Willow would have warned him about Ivy. Not that she knew anyone would care. She isn't particularly in the mood to talk, though, just glare at the door. She doesn't want any company.]

Go'way. [It's mumbled, followed by a growl. She doesn't want attention right now.]

To bad! I already done walked all this way, now open up would you, Red.

[ Oh he would have cared had he known, and if she found out and came after him he would just have to run then. For now he was more concerned with the crying vampire.]

Fine, but if you dont want company, just open the door a moment, yeah?

[She doesn't respond for a long moment. The door does creak open, though, before she flops into bed. She isn't interested in the company, but neither is she that interested in him lounging about outside her door. Making noise.

Or maybe she wants contact more than she's willing to admit.]

[ He moves to push open the door and step through when it was creaked open. Pushing the door back shut he looked at her a moment. It was dangerous to mess with a vampire who wanted to be alone but Doyle had every intention of at least giving her the flowers in his arms.]

Here Red, I brought you these. This room's much too dark, you be needing some color to perk the place up. [ He spoke holding them out.] I stole'em just for you.

[She growls faintly, not getting up. She just watches him, staring at the door. Not the flower. She is not going to look at his dumb flower.

...She glances at his flower.]

I ain't gonna make allusions that we be friends, Red. I know you ain't too keen on me. However I ain't too keen on seein' a lady up here all by herself upset. So if you'd like someone to talk too, just know I'd be willin'.

And like I said I stole these for you. Where would you like'em?

Don't care... [She glances over to a dresser, though.

She doesn't care what sort of speech he gives. He doesn't want to talk to her. Even if he does care. Especially if he cares. This is not what she wants.]

Alright then I'll just sit them here. [ ANd he moved over and placed them down beside her. Standing before her bed.]

Can you at least tell me what would make you happy even for a few minutes?

Don't know why you care.

Because, I just do Red. Call me crazy but I worry 'bout you. I never see you out and about then I see you on the video cryin'. I had to come check on you.

"Don't even like you..." she whispers, glancing away.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I care any less. You don't have anyone else around that I've seen. And no one should be that alone lass. Not even a vampire."

"Everyone left..." it's half a whisper.

"Yeah I noticed love, I've lost a couple meself. That happens, but you gotta keep pushin' forward. You can't spend it all alone." He spoke trying not to be too preachy. "So why don't we start over and then you can at least say you have one person that cares."

"Don't know why not," she muttered, looking away. "I'm horrible..."

"None of that." He spoke his voice a touch sympathetic. "What you did in the past, which I don't know at all and I don't care unless you want to tell me. Has NOTHING to do with who you will be when you leave here. Redemption is a tough rocky road and you don't have to suffer it alone. I'm not claimin' I'm a good person myself, I just don't want to see you have to do this alone. So will you give me a chance to be here for you?"

She shrugged, eyes continuing to shift away from him. "I'm a vampire," she pointed out, staring fully at the ground. Looking up at the ceiling for a moment, and then back down to the bed.

Her kitten slid up into her lap, and purred. After a moment, he began to scratch behind her ear.

"And I'm half demon, your point being?" He asked looking at her like she'd said something silly, he knew she knew. From the moment they met he knew she knew. "Besides, never known an animal that could love someone fully bad. Clearly the cat loves you so maybe you need to just give people a chance love?"

"Dumb cat..." she couldn't keep a small amount of affection from her words, though, a the cat cuddled up against her. Its little nose pressed its way against her skin, and she shifted a little, before forcing the smile away.

"I'd hurt you..."

"That clearly loves you. Like I said, they tend to be able to sense evil and avvoid it despite what fairy tales be sayin. You be worth saving love." He went on.

"And if you do you do. I'm not as breakable as I look."

There was no response, that time, for a long moment. Willow didn't know what to say. "It hurts..." she admitted, at last.

It felt like whining.

But she didn't feel like trying anymore.

"I'm sure it does, but trust me it can get better if you just let yourself feel better emotions." He spoke trying to be as gentle about it as he could.

It did hurt a bit to see the poor woman in such pain, vampire or not none deserved that. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"...Do I have to?" she asked, biting at her lip.

"Everyone left..." it's half a whisper.
