The slayer? [There was something in her voice; surprise that woman knew her, but also anger and hurt. Even knowing it was a different version of the slayer... the image of Buffy staking Xander was still firm in her head.]

Since we were kids; before we both got....

[He had been her lover, too of course - but that was after they were both vampires; and as wrong as it was to blame the slayer for it... it was Xander's chance to be restored like her that she really mourned.]
